QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent; good record keeping skills; computer, data entry and office equipment skills; good human relation skills; Valid Driver's License; First Aid and Emergency Medical skills or ability to receive within six months of employment.
DUTIES:
Supervise, observe, move, book, search, and process inmates, along with all other duties as required, in a detention facility in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures and to comply with state statutes. Also responsible for providing a clean, safe, and secure environment for inmates and staff.
HOURS:
This position is a Variable Hour position that works a variety of shifts, but will be scheduled primarily for nights and weekends, including some holidays; Hours are scheduled in advance based on the needs of the jail, and in addition variable hour employees may pick up open shifts as posted.
Starting Wage: $19.46 - $20.72 per hour, DOE; Variable hour position will accrue vacation, sick time and holiday pay based on hours worked.
