Position Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree; Three years experience in human resources, labor relations, or related field; Two years work experience in Microsoft word and excel. Position does require some travel to meet with other county departments and trainings.
Ideal Candidate in addition to the minimum requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management Labor Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration and experience in public sector human resource
· Self-motivated, strong problem solver self-directed in learning the various rules and regulations that impact personnel in the public sector
· Experience and/or ability to bring recommendations forward that promote efficiency and effectiveness but also adhere to directives in supportive and positive fashion.
· Strong communication skills both verbal and non-verbal and the ability to adapt communication style as needed for audience.
· Ability to promote positive employee relations and a team environment
Compensation and Benefits
The HR Director position salary is currently under review, starting salary will DOQ. The position is eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, including state pension plan, vacation time, sick time, personal and holiday leave time. In addition the position is eligible for the County's cafeteria health plan, consisting of three health plans, LTD, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, Accident, hospital, critical care plans and flexible spending accounts. The County’s monthly contribution rate for 2021 is $1,329.99 with the option of cash in lieu of up to $607.17. The County health benefit structure and wide range of election options provides the employee with the most flexibility in electing coverage that best suites them including taking cash in lieu of benefits.
