Job Summary
Carries out established jail procedures and activities in a manner which will ensure the security and well-being of the inmates.
Minimum Qualifications
1) High school diploma, or the equivalent;
2) Valid Driver's license
3) First Aid and Emergency Medical skills or ability to receive within six months of employment
4) Proficient recordkeeping, computer data entry, and office equipment skills
Examples of Duties
• Inmate medication management
• Knowledge/administration of CPR/First aid to inmates as necessary
• Monitoring of inmates overall well-being including mental health
• Safety and security of inmate and other personnel (Ex: while in court, visiting with doctors, attending church services, ect..)
• Perform/assist with booking procedures of inmates
• Monitoring of jail facility and inmates providing a clean, safe, and secure environment
Hours: This position is a variable hour position, whereas the shifts are appointed/offered on an 'as needed' basis. This means there are no set hours of work, and the hours are agreed upon in advance and on a call-in/last-minute facility need.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $27.17-$35.45 per hour, depending on experience. This position is eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, including state pension plan, vacation time, sick time, personal and holiday leave time in accordance with their specific union contract.
