Description
Job Summary 
Prepares, screens, routes, files, and distributes law enforcement and public safety reports and records.

Minimum Qualifications
        1) High school diploma, or the equivalent;
        2) One year of related experience (office support, customer service, or work in an institution that houses individuals)
        3) One year experience using Microsoft Word and Excel

Examples of Duties
    • Provides customer service as it relates to inquires associated with inmates, inmate visitation, and other inquires related to the jail
    • Compares data entered with source documents, or reenters data in verification format on screen to detect errors
    • Keeps track of received data and source documents
    • Prepares and sorts source documents and identifies and interprets data to be entered
    • Contacts prepares of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data
    • Sorts, files, and photocopies records and/or documents
    • Organizes and maintains file system and files correspondence and other records

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $23.73 to $30.96 per hour, depending on experience. This position is eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, including state pension plan, vacation time, sick time, personal and holiday leave time in accordance with their specific union contract. In addition, the position is eligible for the County's health plan, consisting of three health plans and carrier options; Dental, Vision, and Life insurance; Health Savings and Flexible Spending accounts; Long-term and Short-Term Disability; Supplemental Accident, Hospital, and Critical Illness plans; and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. The County contributes monthly health benefits to aide in the rising of insurance costs with the contribution rate evaluated annually. Additionally, employees have the option to take part of this contribution as cash in lieu of benefits.
