Candidates must qualify under the Minnesota State Merit System register. Applicants must be qualified or transferable at the time of filing deadline.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in any field and one year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.
• Valid Driver's License
Note: The incumbent must participate in a minimum of 15 hours per year of continuing education or in-service training as outlined in Minn. Stat. 626.559.
Annual Starting Salary Range: $56,146 - $61,944 DOQ, plus benefit package
This position is responsible for child welfare and child protection services to the families of children who have experienced child abuse or neglect. Responsibilities include receiving intakes, assessing/investigating alleged child maltreatment, determining family needs, case management, extensive documentation, involvement with juvenile court and participating as a collaborative team member.
